About Us
Incorporated in 1975, the Coalition unites adoptive and foster parent groups, concerned agencies, and individuals throughout NY State. The Coalition represents the citizen's viewpoint and works to improve and expand the services available to children and families. Our goals are to:
- Educate and support foster and adoptive parents and professionals through information-sharing and referral
- Improve services available to children in foster care and that have been adopted
- Increase citizen involvement in local service planning and delivery
- Require greater public accountability of the NYS Office of Children and Family Services, other systems providing out-of-home care for children, and local agencies
