Getting Help Online

The internet is a great place to start looking for help, just be sure to follow up with calls to providers in your own community and search out local service directories at places such as United Way, the public library, the chamber of commerce, and/or your local 211 information/warm line.

A word of caution: Because anyone can put anything on the web in just a few minutes, documents of the widest range of quality, written by authors of the widest range of authority, are available on an even playing field. It takes time to distinguish between reliable and questionable information when searching the web.
