Parent Groups
The parent groups in the Coalition’s network are diverse geographically, racially, and in terms of the services they provide. They have included several NYS “firsts”: the first group for foster and adoptive parents of HIV+ children; the first Native American parent group, the first parent group for kinship foster and adoptive parents; and the first foster and adoptive parent groups for lesbians and gay men. In this section you will find information to help you with parent group development/management activities and resources for parent group projects/programs.
