Local District Foster Boarding Home Rate

As mentioned elsewhere, foster care boarding home rates differ significantly in NYS’s 58 social services districts (i.e. counties) as each local district is allowed to set its own rates within state guidelines. Although New York is a state supervised, locally administered system, NYS OCFS does not routinely collect, or maintain, rate information for individual social services districts. During the summer of 2009 NYSCCC conducted a statewide telephone survey and compiled local rate information from New York’s 58 local social services districts. Information below is current as of 10/09. NYSCCC plans to conduct another survey and update county specific rate as resources become available.  In the meantime, we recommend you contact the local Department of Social Services directly to verify current rates.
