Please help us give a voice to youth in foster care! If you know, care for, or provide services for youth in foster youth between the ages of 16 and 21, your help is needed to get the word out about the National Youth in Transition Database project. NYTD is a federal ACF initiative to obtain youth input about services they received in care and provide it to federal and state policy makers. From 10/1/2013 through 9/30/14 all youth turning 17 in care, entering care within 45 days of their birthday, or who participated in the 2011 survey will receive a phone call from the NYTD team offering them a chance to take the survey. Youth participation via a telephone, online, or postal mail survey is completely voluntary and confidential. All participating NYS youth will earn a monthly chance to win a $50 gift card. To learn more download a flyer for supportive adults and/or visit the NYS NYTD website for outreach materials and tips. Participating in NYTD is a chance for youth to improve foster care for future generations, please help to encourage youth to respond when they get the call.
